What is PFD?
PFD stands for Prepared For Dye. It is the raw, natural version of every BTSA blank — 100% cotton that has been scoured and cleaned at the fiber level, before any color is applied.
Before the color. Before the finish. There is our PFD. Clean, undyed cotton, ready to be transformed. Whether you're running it through our Custom Color Program or applying color yourself, PFD is where every BTSA garment begins.
Every style in our lineup is available in PFD. No minimums. Start with one or scale to a full run.

PFD ships in its natural cotton state — no dye, no finish applied. What you receive is a clean, consistently prepped garment built to take color exactly as intended. The natural off-white tone is the cotton itself, untouched.

What does "Prepared for Dye" actually mean?
PFD stands for Prepared For Dye. Undyed, unfinished, untouched — 100% cotton. The color is the natural, raw color of cotton itself. Every BTSA blank starts here.
Is PFD the same as a white blank?
No. A white blank has gone through a dye process to achieve a specific white hue — meaning dye is already in the fiber. PFD has never been touched by dye. It's the natural color of raw cotton, and a clean starting point for any color you want to apply.
Can I order PFD without using your Custom Color Program?
Yes. You can order PFD and use it however you want — dye it yourself, send it to your own dye partners, or use it as-is. Or we can transform the PFDs with our Custom Color Program, any color you want. MOQs vary per style.
Are all BTSA styles available in PFD?
Yes. Every style in our lineup is available in PFD with no minimum order quantity — ready to ship at all times.
